The future of Retail Finance in the West – One (super duper) app to rule them all? Join the discussion to find out.

Around the world, Retail Finance has been intermediated by tech, particularly mobile tech, like never before. This “4th industrial revolution” has only just begun. Transaction systems, financial accounts and banking systems have been going through a rapid transformation and the speed of change is picking up, particularly under the lockdown conditions the world has found itself in.

This transformation of finance, though, is much different in the West, compared to in the East.  In the East, one or two super tech apps dominate retail finance, unlike (currently) in the West. These super apps in the East are 10 times the scale of some of the world's largest banks. They operate on unprecedented treasure troves of data on consumer behavior, purchasing habits, and preferences. They are able to predict credit risk with no credit history, influence you to save, and  help make purchasing decisions based on your financial situation. These super apps are not just payment apps, they are your bank, lender, wish list collector, games, health monitor, messaging and communication essentials. These apps are not just shaping the future of finance, they are shaping consumer habits, behaviors and lives daily.  These super apps literally have superpowers!!!

Is there a chance of a similar transformation happening in the West?   Join a fun discussion on the evolution and potential for app dominance in the West, who will or will not rule the roost. Come prepared to bat for our favorite finance app, contribute your thoughts and elevate the debate.

We look forward to your participation.
