First Canadian Neo-bank potentially raising funds next year

It was a pleasure to meet Elena Litani, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Pillar Financial, a Canadian neo-bank for small and medium businesses. She is a Fintech veteran with two decades of experience as payment, product and technology executive in the financial industry. Her previous roles included VP of Engineering at KOHO (Canada neo-bank for consumers), Director of Product at nano-pay (pay-tech), senior Blockchain innovation Product Lead at TD bank and senior pre-sales architect at IBM.

Elena has actively participated in numerous Open Banking consultations; was an elected member of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) for Payments Canada as well as an elected member at FinTech Advisory Committee, OSC LaunchPad.

Elena is also a recipient of the Innovation Award from Women in Payments in (2019) and one of 35 women selected globally out of 500+ applicants to Money20/20's first inaugural Rise Up program (2018).
